Please bring anything you think your dog would like in order to feel at home: bed, crate, toys, treats, his own bowls if you think he or she would prefer that. I am happy to feed your dog’s food from home. While I may provide miscellaneous treats, meals are not included. Please bring the food you would like your dog to eat while he or she is boarding. I will be happy to contact your vet to confirm spay/neuter and vaccination dates. This is to protect the safety of your dog as well as mine, and that of any other visiting dog. For the same reason, please make sure your dog’s flea control is up to date before coming. I also ask that your dog come wearing a collar. I’ll attach an ID tag with my contact information for the duration of the stay. I make every effort to provide a safe, inescapable environment. However, no one and no system is perfect. If your dog should require veterinary care, I will do my best to work with your vet. If after hours, I use either Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) or Triangle Veterinary Emergency Clinic, both in Durham. There is no additional charge for administering medications that your dog will eat when given directly in mealtime food. If he/she usually takes them embedded in a treat (like a hot dog), please provide those. I am an experienced dog person, but not a veterinary technician. More specific care requirements are handled on a case by case basis.
